Each year, 16 Days of Activism Against GBV calls on each of us to take action in helping to create a world free from violence against women and girls. As part of this effort, we contributed to a blog with our partners at AfriPADS, highlighting different ways that gender inequality shows up in our day-to-day lives and exacerbates violence. More specifically, the blog draws attention to the ways in which attitudes and practices around menstruation can undermine wellbeing for women and girls and put them at higher risk of experiencing violence.
